Our History

Woodstock was started in 1978 and opened our first showroom in Packenham Street in North London of that year. When we first opened we specialised in the manufacture of solid maple mobile butchers blocks! The company quickly expanded and after a couple of years were making dressers and tables and finally went into the production of solid timber kitchens using mainly Maple and Cherry woods.

From the start, quality and longevity have been at the heart of the company, and are what have helped us remain a key player in the kitchen industry for the past 40 years.

We now produce furniture for every room of the house and throughout this time we have chosen not to expand the company, unlike many of our competitors, allowing us to keep a strong relationship with our existing clients and provide the same personal, friendly service to our new clients. Due to this close relationship with our clients we have found that 85% of our business is either repeat or recommendation.

In 2004 Andrew Hall took ownership of Woodstock Furniture and quickly purchased our current workshops in Andover, Hampshire. There we built our main showroom next to the workshops giving clients the opportunity to see their furniture being made if they choose to visit the showroom.

We still have every project that Woodstock has completed on file in our achieves which we often call upon to carry out modification or refurbishment work.

Our Ethos

As the owner and managing director of Woodstock Furniture, I've spent a great deal of time with clients – discussing different options, providing some creative inspiration, but above all, listening. In all the years I've been involved with the business, I've never tried to sell anyone a particular ‘range' or impose my views on them. After all, it's their kitchen, bathroom or living space, rather than mine.

At our workshop in Hampshire, we have craftsmen who use traditional machinery to create beautiful and bespoke pieces of furniture. I'm always confident that we can take a client's idea and work with it, producing a design that's individual and distinctive. In short, our philosophy has always been the same: with the right thinking, open discussion and some real dedication, anything becomes possible.
